THE CONSUMING FIRE

For our God is a consuming fire. Hebrew 12:29

God will judge the world and every person in the world on the last day. Just because judgment does not happen immediately does not mean that it will not. Galatians 6:7 says "Be no deceived God is not mocked" when lot told his sons in law that God was going to destroy Sodom, they thought he was joking (Gen 19:14). Similarly the people of Noah's day did not believe him either. The same is true of this present generation. People are busy amassing wealth by hooks or by crook, thinking that things will continue the way they are world without end.
You will not live in this physical world for ever. Let it be clear to you that you will die one day, and it could be sooner than you think. Then you will face instant judgment. How will you face God? You can discuss this established fact with a wave of the hand but you cannot change it. Acts 17:31 says that God has appointed a day on which He will judge the whole world by that man (Jesus Christ) whom He has ordained for that purpose. Yes, that Jesus Christ you are making fun of today will be your judge. One great day,the Consuming Fire will test what has been produced through our lives. It will be revealed by fire; and the fire. Will test each one's work....May we be found ready to endure that final heat, and may He find in us eternal treasures of gold, silver and precious stones. Repent and make a turnaround today.

APPRECIATE HIM

And thou say in thin heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me wealth. But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth the power to get wealth. Deuteronomy 8:17-18

Thank you Jesus. Have you said it today? As Christians, so much of what we have is a result of what Jesus Christ has done for us. Where would we be without the work of Jesus Christ? Thanksgiving is a time where we are often mindful of what we have received; Good things done for us or to us. Blessings we have been receiving, and the time of giving thanks for meaningful things in our lives. Whatever the situation might be, where there is life, there is definitely hope. So give thanks that you are alive and well. The Lord is good and His mercies endure forever. It is God who makes your victory, success, salvation and other blessings possible. Whatever you are enjoying today is not of your own making, therefore stop boasting
about possible. You must thank Him every day,and in every situation.
There is nothing you have now, or you will have in the future that is not, or will not come from above. The Bible says Can a man receive anything except it is given to him from above? It is neither by power nor by might but it is of God that shows mercy. God can cause the mighty to fall, the strong to be dethroned, and the powerful to be disgraced. But God kept you and your family alive, it is Him that makes everything to work out and His goodness endures forever. I think you should say "Thank You Jesus."

DO NOT WORRY, PRAISE THE LORD

Let everything that hath breath Praise ye the Lord. Psalm 150:6

As we Journey through another year from tomorrow, many people will be looking forward, thinking of how things will work out for them. Some may be worry, maybe because of some sad experiences they had during the year, or as a result of their failure to realize their dreams and the goal they set for themselves. Any person who is alive has a reason to praise God. Have you stopped to think of the number of people that died this year? You slept and woke up 365 days and did not know that many died in their sleep the world over.

There are many battles God fought for you which you are not aware of Psalm 3:15 says, My time is in thine hand. God is in firm control of the world He created, and He. never sleeps nor slumbers (Psalm 121:4).
There were storms and there could be more, but He who is marten over the storms will not allow them to come near you. He says even if a woman forgets the child she gave birth to, He will never forget you. In all you do in life not leave Jesus out of your plan. With Him, you are secure; I think you need to praise the Lord.

DO NOT DOUBT GOD

The serpent said to the woman, you surely will not die! Genesis 3:4

Living in this fallen world can challenge our faith in God's goodness. The pain and suffering that resulted from Adam and Eve's sin may cloud our understanding of the Lord and tempt us to blame Him for every difficulty we face. Why does not God always remove our problem, solve our problems and give us what we want?

When Eve listened to the serpent's lies in the Garden of Eden, she began to doubt that the Lord had made the right choice in forbidding her to eat from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Why would He deprived her of wisdom and the enoyment of food that looked desirable?

Our thoughts are similar to Eve's when we do not agree with what our Father says is the
best for us. From a human perspective, "good" refers to what is enjoyable, delightful, comfortable, or profitable. But God has a much higher standard and is always working to achieve His purpose to develop Christ-like character within His children.

Behind every restriction or commandment, the Lord gave to us is His loving care for His followers. He knows the tormenting consequences of sin and wants to deter us from rebellious choices that will wreck our
lives. In refusing His will, we are choosing
pain and trouble.

Eve learned through disobedience that God knows what is best. We have the opportunity each day to discover His goodness by listening to His voice, obeying. His commands, and trusting His wisdom. Whatever may come our way, we can know He is working for both our temporal and eternal good.

NO COMPROMISE

The Lord is on my side;I will not fear: what can man do unto me? Psalm 118:6

King Ahab surrounded himself with false prophets who prophesied lies unto him. He knew they were not telling him the truth but he could not send them away because they told him what he wanted to hear. But there was one man who refused to follow the majority. He was a true prophet of God who did not care about fame or position. Micaiah was not afraid to stand alone and declare what God had reveled to him, and he was not unaware of the implication of his actions. It could cost him his life. He made a choice to obey God in spite of the risks involved. Everyday of our life we are faced with choices. Temptations are all around us. Whether or not to yield to such temptations is a personal choice which each person has to make. When there is a choice between truth and falsehood,God expects us to follow the path of truth. Although certain choices we make can expose us to danger,we should however not be deterred by apparent inconveniences and discomfort we may suffer for standing for what is right even if it means standing alone.
